Support Group for Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Autistic High School Students - Counseling & Therapy Services - The Juniper Center

This group will function as a safe place for high school-age transgender and gender nonconforming autistic people to connect and support one another with their shared experiences and help them find a community.

When is it?

Wednesdays, 6 to 7:15 pm

New Group Starts September 21, 2022

 

Where is it?

The location will be in our Park Ridge office (1440 Renaissance Drive)

 

What is the Process to Join?

All individuals who are interested in joining need to contact andrewfishman@thejunipercenter.com to participate in a brief (15-20 minute) intake call to see if the group is a good fit for that individual and to orient them to the idea of the group. 

 

What is the Structure of the Group?

This group will function as a safe place for young transgender and gender nonconforming autistic people to connect and support one another with their shared experiences and help them find a community.  Depending on what the group decides, this group may be fully discussion-based or may involve interactive games.  The ideal group size will be 8 to 10 participants.

 

What is the Cost?

The cost is $30/session and sliding scale pay will be accepted.
