Celebrate World Mental Health Day with Bridging the Gap Collective! - Counseling & Therapy Services - The Juniper Center

Today is October 10th, which means it is World Mental Health Day! The Juniper Center is one of the many private practices in the world that is all about helping those improve their mental health so individuals can become a new version of themselves. The Juniper Center tries to come up with something new to celebrate World Mental Health Day and this year, the center and the Bridging the Gap Collective have teamed up to announce a new campaign that involves all of you out there! Before that, some of the members of the collective are here to talk about the importance of World Mental Health Day and why it’s important to have those types of conversations.

It’s Important to Raise Awareness

World Mental Health Day | October 10 - Calendarr

Raising awareness of mental health is the main goal of this day and why the World Health Organization always comes up with new ideas each year to keep those conversations going amongst our peers. Keenen Stevenson, a Juniper Center clinician and the fundraising coordinator over at the Bridging the Gap Collective comments on how “it shines a global spotlight on the significance of mental health, reducing stigma and encouraging open conversations.” No matter what age and no matter what may be going on in their life, it’s days like today when people come together to remind themselves that they are not alone in this world. Mark Jacquot, CCO of the Juniper Center and treasurer of the Bridging the Gap Collective reminds us that “we are facing a global mental health crisis, as more and more people are raising their hands indicating they are not okay.” The Juniper Center is proud to have the Bridging the Cap Collective as a non-profit organization underneath their umbrella and they are paving the way for “bridging the gap” for all individuals out there to have access to mental health services, no matter what their background may be.

Give $10, Change a Life

The Bridging the Gap Collective has been working hard this past year to provide mental health services for those in areas that may not have direct access to said services. Today, the collective is announcing a brand-new campaign and it involves all of you out there. It is called “Give $10, Change a Life,” and Keenen explains more about the main goal of the campaign and how you can become involved. “The “Give $10, Change a Life” campaign is a simple yet powerful way to contribute to mental health support. For just $10, donors can help fund vital mental health services, ensuring that individuals who need counseling and support can access it. The idea is that small contributions, when combined, can create a significant impact, making mental health care more accessible to those in need.”

Spread the Word on Social Media

FE News | Why is Social Media important for business?

On the Bridging the Gap Collective social media platforms, each platform is going to have a special tracker in place so everyone can see how close they are to reaching their goal of $1,000. With these donations, the collective will be able to continue its mission of helping those in different areas to become a better version of themselves. The collective has several interns who are working hard as they are meeting different clients each week.

We are SO in this together!

This campaign will also act as a reminder of how important it is to continue the conversations about mental health with peers. Mark Jacquot comments how “each year we are seeing more people seek care. Teletherapy has opened up access to many people who ordinarily might not feel comfortable going to a therapist. That said, we are receiving more and more requests for in-person therapy as well.”

There are already plenty of clients who are seeing clinicians under the Bridging the Gap Collective and they hope to continue to grow with the help of supporters such as yourselves.
