Thursday March 8 was International Women’s Day, celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievement of women around the globe.
At The Juniper Center, we are also proud of recent achievements of Dr. Carol Goldbaum, who received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Illinois Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers, and Founder/Owner Dr. Margo Jacquot, who continues to mentor the next generation of women business owners with the Chicago Business Journal.
LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT: Carol Goldbaum, PhD, LCSW
Carol Goldbaum (PhD, University of Illinois at Chicago; MSW, Loyola University Chicago; LCSW) is the quintessential social worker. She has been and continues to be clinician, educator, advocate, administrator, and activist with multiple professional organizations over her fifty-year career. She is clinical and program consultant and trainer to various human service organizations and individuals locally, nationally, and internationally. Carol is on the Advisory Council for Age Options, the Suburban Cook County Area Agency on Aging, as well as the NASW Illinois Chapter Cultural Competency Task Force, Older Adults Shared Interest Group, Retired Social Worker Shared Interest Group, and the GLBT Aging Task Force of Metropolitan Chicago. She participates in community and international social activism.

Margo Jacquot, Psy.D., CSADC, BCETS to Mentor Emerging Business Owners
Dr. Margo Jacquot will serve as a mentor as part of the BIZWOMEN Mentoring Monday event on April 4, an initiative of the Chicago Business Journal to to increase women’s profile in business through American City Business Journal’s women’s platform.
This one-of-a-kind event that brings together women in a casual, fast-paced coaching atmosphere.
The Chicago event will be one 43 programs that take place on Mondays across the country. According to the Chicago Business Journal, “this means at least 200+ women will be coached in every market or 10K women across America, from Albany to Hawaii.”
