Alexis is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Illinois and received her Psy.D. from The Illinois School of Professional Psychology. Alexis specializes in working with adults across all stages of their lifespan. Her clinical experience has allowed her the opportunity to work with emerging adults on college campuses and a wider array of adults within community and private practice settings. Areas of specialty include trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, romantic relationship concerns, and family dynamic/family of origin issues.
In practice, Alexis believes that one of the key components to successful therapy is the clinician’s willingness to approach therapy holistically; our minds, bodies, and spirits encompass who we are, how were react, how we receive things, and how we interpret things.
“I believe that therapy can be life-changing. By providing a therapeutic space which is affirming, safe, and non-judgmental, my goal is to assist my clients with obtaining the tools and skills needed to achieve the therapeutic goals they’ve set for themselves. However, there is one thing that I must stress and that is the importance of time and patience. I encourage my clients to give themselves the time needed and have patience with self to allow change to occur. Change takes time but I will be here with you to support you through it.”
