As back far as I can remember I have always wanted to help others. As a child growing up in Chicago’s Brownsville community, I was exposed to a world which was very different from my home. I have always been curious about different cultures and how other persons lived in the vast world . My curiosity lead me to my life’s calling. I believe that my purpose on this planet is to help others become the best selfs. This is something that I do for a living and it’s something that I love to do. It is such a personal joy to know that I have made a difference in someone’s life. In improving one persons life , generations become healthier.
I consider myself to be a content, fun loving, pretty laid back person. I love to laugh and I have a great sense of humor. I am very interesting and eclectic. I have varied interest, that extend from the arts to mindfulness . From gardening, advocacy, epidemiology, Interior, design, fashion, theology and much more. I enjoy learning new things and experiencing positive adventures. I am also very cerebral.
I am a cognitive behavioral therapist. Who practices positive psychology, and psychodynamic theory. My undergraduate degree is in behavior science, my masters in social work, and my doctor is in counseling psychology. I also complete all of the course work medical an urban sociology. Which makes me ABD. Yes, I love learning, so I guess that makes me a nerd. Finally, I am loyal and dedicated to my craft. I always go the extra mile for my client’s. I will help guide you through the process of your therapeutic journey.
