Dr. Annie Fernández is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the State of Illinois with extensive clinical experience treating adolescents, young adults, and older adults affected by multiple traumatic events including (but not limited to) immigration issues, chronic illnesses, grief/loss issues, and intergenerational issues. Dr. Fernández uses her interests in multiculturalism, inclusivity, language, and communication to understand and to provide a safe supportive environment for clients of diverse ethnicities, diverse abilities, and diverse sexual and gender identities.
In addition to individual therapy, Dr. Fernández has provided psychological and neuropsychological testing and crisis interventions. She has presented psycho- educational lectures in Spanish, English, and bilingual communities. Dr. Fernández has provided supervision of graduate students, and clinical consultation for clinicians. Dr. Fernández is available to provide therapy in Spanish or Portuguese for those who seek it.
