Pronouns: she/her

Becca Baake is an LCSW in Illinois and an LMSW in Texas. She received her bachelor’s in philosophy and master’s in social work from Texas Tech University. She has been practicing social work since 2017, primarily as a case manager in hospital settings. Becca specializes in adult and geriatric populations and has ample experience working with entire family units. Becca is passionate about helping clients and families to live their most connected, fulfilled, and empowered lives. She follows evidence-based practices, including mindfulness-based approaches, dialectical behavioral therapy, art, music, and yoga therapy, to assist clients in managing their symptoms and reconnecting with joy.

She leverages her experience as a case manager to assist clients in formulating clear goals for recovery. Becca is experienced working with individuals and families affected by addiction, trauma, grief, loss, and medical comorbidities. She is prepared to be part of the treatment team for those struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, eating, and substance use disorders. Becca is a LGBTQ+ affirming therapist.

My goal in working with clients and families is to meet you where you are, create a therapeutic environment for exploration and expression, and use creativity to tailor treatments to your specific preferences and goals. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is, in and of itself, a treatment modality. I truly hope to provide you with a safe space to express yourself freely and to feel seen and heard. Together, we will identify your current stressors and goals and develop a plan of action. We will use creative methods to help alleviate negative symptoms you may be coping with, and to increase your sense of connection and joy.
