“I believe therapy is an opportunity to discover yourself and your relationships; to identify your strengths and what interferes with being who you want to be. I see my role as listener, supporter and guide, helping you to open up to your potential. My approach to counseling is interactive with a focus on identifying strengths, as well as issues of concern. My clinical philosophy and methods include both psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapies, with an awareness of the role behavioral issues often play in a client’s life. I also have particular experience in the interplay between physical and emotional health, whether chronic or acute illness or special issues of aging and the changes in personal and family dynamics these create.”
