Charles (Chuck) Pasternak, LCPC

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor

Chuck Pasternak is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who earned his master’s degree in counseling from Southern Methodist University. He is licensed to practice counseling in Illinois and Texas. Chuck has experience working with children and adults of all ages providing individual, couple, group, and family counseling services in various settings. These settings and clinical experiences have included inpatient hospitals, in-home services, outpatient clinics, child welfare, and academia.

He is devoted to serving the LGTQ+ community and has a passion for supporting these individuals dealing with challenges in relationships, family of origin issues, career concerns, and low self-esteem. He uses a cognitive behavioral therapy approach and attachment theory. When working with children ages 3-10, Chuck uses play therapy addressing issues with divorce, symptoms of ADHD, neurodiverse challenges, depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, and trauma. Chuck has also completed the training and clinical experiences to become a certified child-centered play therapist, a certified autplay therapist, and foundational theraplay practitioner.
