Dr. Nie utilizes a person-centered, comprehensive, and collaborative approach to caring for her patients. She believes in the thoughtful use of medication as one component in an integrated personalized treatment plan that may include individual therapy, group therapy, nutrition, exercise, and mindfulness. She actively collaborates with a person’s other care providers, including therapists, primary care doctors, and specialists, and with a person’s support network to coordinate a unified plan for care. She prioritizes psychoeducation and believes that it is important for people to understand the potential benefits of medications in improving their quality of life, as well as to be aware of the possible side effects and limitations of medications. She works together in partnership with patients to help them understand their options for treatment and to empower them to make informed decisions about their own care. She has experience working with a diverse group of patients and she aims to learn about a person’s experiences in the context of who they are, including their unique identities and cultures. Her goal is to help people thrive, work towards their personal goals, and live their best life.
Her patients range from 16-65 years of age and sees them remotely via our telemedicine video platform or sees them in person at our Chicago downtown location.
