Elizabeth is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who believes clients are the experts of their own lives and works collaboratively with clients to increase self-awareness, explore past history and make connections to current functioning, facilitate personal insight and curiosity, identify and feel a full range of emotions, and manage and reduce symptoms. While therapy can be very intense at times, Elizabeth approaches the work with a sense of humor and compassion. She strives to create a safe, inclusive, non-judgmental therapeutic space for clients of all identities.
She is grounded in a psychodynamic and attachment framework and also integrates CBT, DBT, relational/interpersonal, feminist, and queer theories to best meet the needs of her clients. She works with clients on a variety of presenting concerns including gender identity, sexuality and sexual orientation, trauma (especially family of origin trauma), grief and loss, depression and anxiety, life transitions, and interpersonal relationship dynamics. Elizabeth is poly/kink affirming, takes a HAES approach, and is 420 friendly.
