Felicia is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, National Board Certified Counselor and a Certified Reciprocal Alcohol & Other Drug counselor. She received her Master of Arts Degree from Northeastern Illinois University, Chicago and her education specialized in Community and Family counseling. Felicia has worked in residential and hospital settings, outpatient/inpatient mental health facilities, and with all age groups. She believes in the process of change and growth. Her goal is to create a warm and compassionate space in which individuals, couples and families can develop and improve meaningful relationships. She strives to provide an environment of nonjudgmental and unconditional positive regard, while assisting clients in being able to identify thinking errors/patterns that interfere with reaching personal and professional goals. She utilizes a holistic, client and solution focused, strength-based approach. Her treatment includes an eclectic approach that uses, CBT, DBT, Acceptance and commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), mindfulness and motivational interviewing. She specializes in treating a range of mental health issues, some of which include: Addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions, stress management, and issues relevant to LGBTQIA. Her approach is collaborative, client led, strength-based, and empowerment focused. She will listen to every client, couple or family to hear what they are striving for and help them identify what might be in the way. She will be there as a guide and support as people decide their own direction and life path.
