Gloria Bernard is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Board Certified, Registered Art Therapist, and Registered Yoga Teacher, Level 1 Certified Kundalini Yoga Practitioner. Gloria has been providing creative psychotherapeutic services for adults, adolescents, and children since 2009. She earned her Masters in Counseling with a concentration in Art Therapy from New York University in 2010.

Professionally, Gloria has worked for many years in acute care adult inpatient psychiatric hospitals, providing creative art therapy to people receiving treatment for mood disorders, depression, anxiety, and behavioral issues. She has also taught yoga in studio settings and worked as an educator and therapist in educational settings, shelters, daytime treatment facilities, and residential programs.

Gloria uses a creative, person-centered approach to facilitate healing, growth, and recovery for persons grappling with the experience of depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, life transitions, behavioral issues, LGBTQIA+ identities, and persons struggling with self-acceptance. She uses her training in the creative arts, psychotherapy, and yoga to inform the therapeutic process with clients.

Gloria is focused on collaborating with individuals to facilitate personal growth, deepening self-awareness, recovery, and radical self-acceptance.

“As people grow and change and create relationships, sometimes we adopt narratives that make us forget our truth. As a therapist, I believe in creating a safe space where individuals can explore whatever comes up in their process of discovering, recovering, or redefining ones own truth. I am able to offer insight without judgment, offering the space to be your authentic self. Healing is hard work, and I acknowledge the bravery of every individual who is up for that challenge.”
