Dr. Jayne Ehirim is a doctoral prepared board certified psychiatric Mental Health Nurse practitioner offering psychiatric evaluations, medication management and psychotherapy to adults in Illinois. She received a Bachelor in Health sciences, administration and management at California State East Bay University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes- Jewish College, a Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Missouri – St. Louis with a dual degree certification as a family nurse practitioner as well as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She completed her nurse practitioner residency training at Places for People, a certified Community Behavioral Health Organization in Saint Louis county. She has expertise at caring for people with depression, anxiety disorders, panic attacks and mood disorders.

Dr. Ehirim has experience in working with people from diverse racial, ethnic, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds . She provides holistic care that focuses on empowering her patients with the necessary support they need to improve their mental health and overall quality of life. She practices a collaborative approach of care and believes in the inclusivity of her patients when formulating treatment plans tailored to their specific needs. She possesses sound therapeutic communication skills and provides cultural competent care to patients. She is an advocate of reducing the stigma associated with the use of mental health services and strives to liberate patients from the feelings of defeat when dealing with mental health challenges. Dr. Ehirim provides psychoeducation to all patients and views this as a fundamental tool, vital to achieving success in treatment outcomes. She also provides several psychotherapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Supportive Psychotherapy. Her goal is to empower patients to know that they are not defined by their mental illness and give them an opportunity to live a well balanced life with the hopes of achieving an optimal well being.

Her patients range from 18-65 years of age and sees them remotely via our telemedicine video platform.
