Jill is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, whose values align strongly with the core values of her profession, particularly in affirming the inherent worth and dignity of all people. Her approach aims to assist clients in building their capacity to accept and respond effectively to challenging emotions and incorporates elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Accceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She believes identification of personal values is central to the process of clients effecting needed change in their own lives.
Jill’s professional interests include working with college students and other emerging adults, as well as with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, or any kind of life transition/adjustment.
“My aspiration, first and foremost, is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space, where those I work with feel heard and understood. I believe a great deal of growth and change can be cultivated from a soil rich with understanding and respect, and I hope to balance validation of each individual’s experience with accountability to the goals we work collaboratively to create and pursue.”
