Korey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a passion for the social work principles including the self-determination and worth of each individual client. Korey received her master of social work degree from DePaul University, with an emphasis on Community Practice.
Her experience and professional interests includes working with seniors, adults with substance use disorder, and persons impacted by depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, trauma, chronic health conditions, and grief and loss. Through previous work experience, Korey has developed a passion for working with women with substance use disorder diagnosis’ as well as assisting seniors as they transition towards end of life planning.
Korey utilizes a holistic, client and solution focused, strength based approach. Her treatment includes therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness and Harm-Reduction.. Korey believes a combination of several approaches can be helpful to meet the needs of the client
