Chicago – December 1, 2022 – The Better Business Bureau of Chicago and Northern Illinois has recognized The Juniper Center with a 2022 Torch Award for Ethics.
The Torch Awards for Ethics is the most prestigious honor BBB can present to exceptional organizations for their dedication to integrity and ethical practices. It is an annual awards program that publicly recognizes organizations that have practices in place that elevate their commitment to ethical operations. The Torch Awards for Ethics is designed to not only promote the importance of building trust, but also the willingness and efforts made by outstanding organizations to help contribute to an honorable marketplace. The BBB Torch award is only given to six to ten businesses each year from a field of over a hundred fully completed and vetted entries.
Dr. Margo Jacquot, as owner of The Juniper Center and in the field of Mental Health, is committed to leading with high character and excellence. She serves on the Ethics Committee for the Illinois Psychological Association, and also provides training on ethics for clinicians that fulfills their annual Continuing Education Requirement to maintain their licenses.
“It is a deep honor to be recognized for our organization’s dedication to ethical integrity, something that is endemic and core to our service and delivery” said Dr. Jacquot, “As mental health practitioners we are working with individuals who are sharing deep and vulnerable aspects of themselves with our clinicians and as such it is imperative that ethics lie at the forefront of our field.”
Creating a Culture of Integrity
“The Juniper Center continually strives for high clinical excellence and ethical standards. One can think about culture as a rule book of sorts—it’s how we do things. For The Juniper Center, one of the biggest tenets is that the person matters, be they clinician, client, administrator, or community. People must be able to be present with their whole self, whoever they are, with all the bumps and bruises, everything that makes you different and unique. This manifests at The Juniper Center through our high ethical standards, in our safe and confidential environment, and diverse team,” said Dr. Jacquot.
The Juniper Center has more than 70 clinicians at five Chicagoland locations, and across the states of Illinois and Indiana with Teletherapy. Clients can select the clinician who is the best fit for them. Once paired with a client, the clinician is empowered to build a personal relationship to best serve their clients, while also having access to the expertise of the clinical expertise of the full team. As clinicians work one on one with clients they can see the dynamics of relationships in a client’s life. With our large network of clinicians and expertise, clients can find help for the entire family, if needed, within one practice.
